As reported in the Worcester Business Journal, the site where NEMA Boston is currently being constructed has a storied development history tied to a local developer. When Crescent Heights was looking for their first collection of luxury NEMA condos in Boston, they found a small parcel in the Seaport neighborhood owned by Denis Dowdle, a journalist-turned-developer who had purchased the land back in 2006 with plans to build a hotel. When those plans fell through, Crescent Heights saw the lot’s potential as the future location for NEMA Boston, the forthcoming collection of Boston Seaport apartments for rent.
