Little was known about what the NEMA concept would look like outside San Francisco when developer Crescent Heights announced plans to build a pair of contextual luxury rental buildings in two of America’s biggest cities last year. Now, as construction nears completion at NEMA Boston, we know that the collection of Seaport Boston apartments is designed with sustainability and local inspiration, making it unique among the city’s luxury offerings. The 21-story building features raw steel and concrete in a reflection of the Seaport’s industrial heritage, while the building’s lobby honors more recent history with artwork dedicated to The Channel, an avant-garde music and arts community from the 1980s.
