Seaport Sweat is Boston's biggest free workout series—and throughout the summer, it's inviting you to join classes on Seaport Common, to move your body, burn calories, and flex muscles while enjoying the Boston sunshine. Here's how it works.

What's Seaport Sweat All About?

Now in its sixth year, the incredibly popular Seaport Sweat is essentially an outdoor festival for those who want to improve their fitness or simply discover a new way to have fun. Whether you're a seasoned gym-head or haven't done any sports since school, everyone's welcome to join in. A roster of expert coaches (plus beats by DJ Sprino to keep you pumped) leads you through workouts designed to lift mind, body, and soul. There's a real community spirit too.

What Kind of Exercises Can I Do?

The choice is all yours; Seaport sweat offers a unique class schedule Monday-Saturday, working at different speeds and focusing on various aspects of fitness. Try high-octane boot camps with Bron Volney. Become a mindful yoga warrior under the mentorship of Edwin Frias. Tighten up abs and other muscles with Becca One Checca. Master the choreographed art of Zumba with Nicole Derosiers. Tone it up at Barre Fusion with weekly classes from fan favorite, Jenn Azarian. Learn how to “kick it” with Eliza Shirazi's intensive kickboxing, dance, and music-driven Saturday July session. The great thing about Seaport Sweat: you can sample all the workouts you want before homing in on those that best suit you.

When Does It Take Place?

Seaport Sweat activities happen Monday to Saturday from now until October. (Two extra months have been added this season due to demand.) This year, Seaport Sweat is socially distancing spaces, so you'll need to sign up for classes via the website and make sure to bring a yoga mat or towel and water to stay hydrated during the workout. For any spaces you don't manage to bag, you can take part from the comfort of your condo, thanks to classes streamed on Instagram Live. For that fresh air feel, head up to NEMA Boston's skyline terrace or rooftop lawn and catch a few rays while you flex.
